As President of The Legends of MMA Hall of Fame, Sensei Sean Kilgus brings his years of training and experience in Mixed Martial Arts to focus attention on the pioneers of the industry. Sean is dedicated to ensuring that the contributions of the legends in the sport are remembered. During the course of training to become a pro fighter Sensei Sean has even spent time training and living with MMA legend Ken Shamrock at his world-famous Lions Den fight school. His experiences as a young fighter gave him a unique perspective and insight into the sport. He maintains respect for those that came before in his work as an instructor today. World Jiu-Jitsu Academy has been honored to host Legends like Dan “The Beast” Severn and Art Davie. Sean continues to work to honor the predecessors of today’s Mixed Martial Arts scene and bring their stories to light.
Sensei Sean began fighting in full contact MMA at the age of 15. While trying to become a Mixed Martial Arts fighter Sensei Sean spent much time learning many other arts i.e. Judo, Muay Thai, Boxing, and Wrestling which he incorporates in his instruction. Sean’s passion for the sport has lead him to be involved in the world of Mixed Martial Arts as a student, coach and instructor for nearly 2 decades. He brings the totality of his many years of experience in the industry to his teaching.
Through affiliation with his Coach, Roan Jucao Corniero, Sean continues to learn and grow in his commitment to Mixed Martial Arts. He works tirelessly to offer his students the highest level best training possible in the ground and standing arts.
